at EMBO Workshop

On October 13–16, 2024, Viorica Raluca Contu participated in the EMBO Workshop titled Unlocking Human Brain Complexity Using 3D Culture and Single-Cell Omics, held in Capri, Italy. The event brought together researchers from diverse fields to deepen their understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying human brain physiology and disease. Internationally renowned speakers presented the latest advancements in generating brain tissue-specific cultures from stem cells and addressed associated challenges.

„The ‘Meet the Expert’ sessions provided a relaxed and engaging format to explore the intricacies of the human brain while fostering meaningful discussions,” said Viorica.

The workshop also featured a poster session, which Viorica described as a particular highlight. She had the opportunity to showcase her research, engage with peers, and receive constructive feedback to refine her approach. Beyond the scientific insights, she built valuable connections with researchers whose expertise complements her own, paving the way for potential future collaborations.
