SENIOR STAFF TRAINING
On November 16, 2023, the SAME-NeuroID Management Team participated in a training on taking into account the dimensions in conducting scientific research within the Horizon Europe programme projects. Authors of projects implemented within HE programme are obliged to take into account gender equality issues.
The SAME-NeuroID project is developing standards in the modeling of neuropsychiatric diseases. The research takes into account biological differences between the sexes, enabling a better understanding of mechanisms and the development of effective therapies for these diseases. For areas other than health, integrating social gender issues contributes to promoting diversity in research, making it more representative of society. The 'gender’ criterion was introduced for evaluation in almost all competitions for projects financed under the European Commission’s Horizon Europe programme. This approach fosters a more just society and promotes the development of science that takes into account the full spectrum of human experiences and needs. A checklist of questions has been created for HE grant applicants to guide them through the main stages of the research cycle to identify the key elements needed to design appropriate research.
With a relentless pursuit of knowledge, we unravel the complexities of the mind, unraveling the mysteries that hinder mental well-being. Join us as we pave the way for breakthroughs in neuroscience and offer hope for a brighter future
