CONFERENCE
European Stress Conference 2025
The European Stress Conference is a key platform for the exchange of knowledge in the field of stress research and behavioral assessment. This year’s edition, held in the Austrian Alps, brought together leading experts to discuss the most validated protocols for assessing stress and measuring animal behavior.
During the conference, Michał Ślęzak (PhD, Senior PI) delivered an oral presentation titled „Acute and chronic effects of stress hormones converge on astrocytes”, in which he discussed aspects of the behavioral phenotyping, contributing to the ongoing dialogue on stress assessment. Additionally, Patrycja Ziuzia (PhD Candidate) presented a poster titled „Unraveling Molecular Contribution of Astrocytes to Depressive-like Behavior in Mice”, which was awarded with a Travel Grant in recognition of its scientific contribution.
CONFERENCE
This conference, organized by one of SAME-NeuroID collaborators (Mathias Schmidt, PhD, Max Planck Institute), provided a valuable opportunity to engage with specialists in stress research and to advance the standardization of methodological approaches in protocols, particularly within the behavioral field. The meeting fostered insightful discussions on established protocols in our labs, incorporating both automated and semi-automated systems. Additionally, it facilitated a detailed exchange on data analysis and interpretation, particularly in light of the newly updated DeepOF tool.
With a relentless pursuit of knowledge, we unravel the complexities of the mind, unraveling the mysteries that hinder mental well-being. Join us as we pave the way for breakthroughs in neuroscience and offer hope for a brighter future
