Short term Visit
From 24th to 26th July 2024, our scientists, Patrycja Ziuzia and Bartosz Zglinicki, had the opportunity to visit Boehringer Ingelheim, a renowned pharmaceutical company, to establish contact and explore future cooperation with a commercialization focus.
During the visit, detailed discussions revolved around modern approaches to assessing animal behavior, particularly social behavior, in the context of translating data to human studies, with depressive-like behaviors as the primary end goal. The team explored innovations for developing a new version of the Social Box tool, aiming to integrate the best solutions currently available in the field.
The discussions addressed key topics such as hardware implementation, including the use of an RFID system for accurate identification of subjects in the setup. Challenges associated with creating ideal classifiers for individual behavioral parameter occurrences were also thoroughly analyzed. Finally, the visit delved into methods for managing and interpreting large datasets, ensuring accurate and meaningful analysis.
With a relentless pursuit of knowledge, we unravel the complexities of the mind, unraveling the mysteries that hinder mental well-being. Join us as we pave the way for breakthroughs in neuroscience and offer hope for a brighter future
