Short Term Visit

Bartosz Zglinicki visited Erasmus Medical Center

From 3rd to 15th June 2024, Bartosz Zglinicki, one of our scientists, had the opportunity to visit Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into fresh, innovative methods of automating standard behavioral tasks.

The focus was also directed towards implementing additional features in the new Social Box setup currently being developed at Łukasiewicz-PORT. A key feature explored was the RFID system used for animal identification in the LiveMouseTracker system at EMC. The plan involves integrating RFID antennas into our setup to enhance automated mice tracking during experiments.

The visit provided a unique opportunity to observe the internal operations of EMC, with a strong emphasis on the work ethics of PhD students and Post-docs. Additionally, Bartosz participated in a one-day scientific and casual „get-together,” featuring discussions on recent findings and project progress among the SAME-NeuroID partners from EMC.
