In September, the PR Office completed six professional training courses, significantly strengthening its competencies in event management, digital communication, content creation, and team leadership. Below is a summary of the areas it developed.
1. Event Costing, Scenario Design & Event Documentation – Practical Workshop
The workshop on event costing, scenario design, and event documentation offered a fully practical experience based on real materials such as briefs, offers, price lists, and scenography designs. The trainer, an experienced event producer and director, shared practical insights supported by numerous crisis-management examples. The participant received a comprehensive package of ready-to-use professional documents. During the training, the participant learned to create detailed event budgets, develop minute-by-minute event scripts with installation and dismantling schedules, maintain complete event documentation, and collaborate effectively with clients and suppliers even in crisis situations. This knowledge directly contributes to raising the quality and efficiency of the PR Office’s event production.
2. SEO Course
During the SEO course, the participant gained practical knowledge in content optimisation, improving website structure and analysing keywords. These competencies will help increase the visibility of the Institute’s websites in search engines, improve digital competitiveness, and ensure that the online presence remains aligned with current SEO and accessibility standards.
3. Event Manager PRO
The “Event Manager PRO” training further strengthened the Office’s practical competencies in planning, producing, and managing events. Through fifty hours of expert-led materials and case studies, the participant expanded knowledge in creating professional budgets, scripts and schedules, as well as assembling complete project documentation. The training improved collaboration with suppliers and technical teams, enhanced risk-management practices, and deepened understanding of legal aspects. Access to ready-made tools such as checklists, contract templates and procedures has increased the team’s operational independence, improved project delivery efficiency, and enhanced the safety and quality of the events it conducts.
4. Blender Course – Level 1
The Blender Level 1 course provided twenty-four hours of hands-on training for both graphic designers and researchers. It covered the fundamentals of 3D modelling, scene setup, object management, lighting techniques including HDR environments, the basics of creating materials and PBR-compliant textures, as well as camera work, animation and rendering in Cycles. This workshop strengthened the PR Office’s ability to produce high-quality 3D visualizations for its communication and promotional needs.
5. Content Marketing & Effective Copywriting – E-learning
The e-learning course in content marketing and effective copywriting supported the development of skills essential for creating strategic and engaging communication. The participant strengthened techniques in crafting clear messages, building storytelling structures and tailoring content to diverse audiences. In everyday PR work within a scientific institution, these competencies enhance the clarity and appeal of presenting research results and achievements. They also support the broader mission of Łukasiewicz – PORT by improving science communication and reinforcing the Institute’s image as a centre of high-quality research and innovation.
6. Effective Manager
The “Effective Manager” training provided a deeper understanding of key aspects of managerial work, including planning, task organisation, and team development. The participant gained experience in setting SMARTER goals, selecting appropriate performance indicators, delegating tasks and monitoring progress. Particularly valuable was the section on providing constructive and motivating feedback using the FUKO and UF models. These competencies contribute to greater clarity of objectives, better use of team potential and higher effectiveness in delivering communication and promotional projects, ultimately strengthening the organisational capabilities of the Institute.
