TREND Training in Poznań

School of excellence

Bridging the Bedside to the Bench

The TREND Poznań training, held from May 27–29 2025, was an enriching experience that effectively connected laboratory research with clinical insight. A central component was the Mental Health First Aid training, which focused on recognizing and managing anxiety and panic attacks, with special emphasis on promoting mental well-being in the workplace. Participants gained practical strategies to support mental health through discussions on work-life balance and recognizing early signs of distress. A key highlight was an in-depth conversation with a psychiatrist, who shared valuable perspectives on how circadian rhythms influence mental health and emphasized the importance of physical activity, nutrition, sleep hygiene, and psychotherapy in overall well-being. The program also included group presentations, a mentoring session, and a discussion on intergenerational trauma, allowing participants to engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue and refine their ability to translate scientific research into clinical contexts.
